Beginning Silversmithing Class

This beginning silversmithing is designed for the student who has never picked up a jewelers saw or held a torch. We will cover the basic tools, discuss methods of cutting and sawing metals, discover different techniques of soldering, bezel making, stone setting, and patinas.  

 

This class will cover various ways of making jump rings and engage in surface

applications for metal. Students will receive a basic tool package and materials for three projects.  The goal of this class is to send students home with the tools, supplies and knowledge to continue moving forward with metalsmithing.
